Ashley began serving as the MPHA Treasurer in the beginning of 2023 and will serve for the next two years.
Ashley is a proud citizen of Mississippi where she was born and raised. She graduated from Brandon High School and holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Public Health Education from the Mississippi University for Women. Ashley started her internship with the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) and has now served as a state of Mississippi government employee for over ten years. She has worked in various departments throughout the agency with a focus in quality improvement, educational awareness, financial management, and policy/regulatory development. Ashley currently works as the Program Specialist Team Lead in the Office of Workforce Development where she serves as the Onboarding and Recruiting Director. She served on the MS COVID-19 Taskforce from March of 2020 up until she went into the hospital to have her son, Oliver. Ashley loves spending time with her husband, son, family, and friends.
