Jillian Harper-Peavy is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 10 years’ experience in community organizing, management and program development, and over 7 years’ experience providing case management and therapy to diverse client populations within the community. Jillian’s career highlights include: (1) creating an integrated academic and health approach to counseling at risk college students, (2) developing a curriculum which provides interactive health education modules to prepare pregnant and parenting teens for motherhood in the state of MS, and (3) Serving on the MS COVID-19 Taskforce within her church’s jurisdiction. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Masters in Social Work. Jillian currently works at the MS State Department of Health as Division Director II of the PHRM/ISS program where she provides services and support for high risk maternity and infant patients (including expectant and parenting teens, and mothers and infants exposed to substance use). Jillian loves being a public health social worker, spending time with her husband and family, and serving in her church and community. Her motto is to empower others, so they are able to empower themselves.
